With neutral, but rich earthy tones, Dark Classic Mottle has enough variation to make it what ever you want it to be. As a dry pressed brick, it is solid and enduring. The smooth face has a fine, tactile granulated texture. It is no wonder that this is one of our most popular choices with Architects. For heritage buildings, Dark Classic Mottle is great match for the ‘Dark Chocolate Mottle’ bricks that were made at the old Austral Eastwood Brickworks. These bricks were used extensively throughout Sydney in the 1920s and 30’s on Californian Bungalow houses.
If a smooth coffee and rich chocolate cake could be made into a brick, this would be it.
