Rockface bricks became popular in the 1970s and 80s when restoration fever took over and spilled into new builds.
The desire was to emulate a rough texture of aged brick or split stone. At Lincoln Brickworks we can produce Rockface Bricks in any colour in our range. Lincoln bricks match the originals perfectly. This is because Lincoln Brickworks use the same clays, dry pressed or extruded machines & wood fired kilns as the originals, and they also split the bricks face on an original machine from that era.
